Gifts to the Cardinal Gibbons Fund meet the daily financial needs of operating a private Catholic school.  Contributions can be accepted by cash, check, credit card, bank debit, stock, or pledge payments.

STOCK DONATIONS can be made through the Diocese of Raleigh. Apply your contribution to Cardinal Gibbons High School and notify the school's Development Department that a stock gift has been processed, 919-834-1625 x 220.

The Cardinal Club was established to recognize donors who support the Annual Fund with gifts over $1,000 in a fiscal year.  Cardinal Club members have made Gibbons a philanthropic priority and help to ensure our school can continue its tradition of fine Catholic education.

Matching Gifts are received from participating companies that match the amount of dollars given to Gibbons by their employees and spouses, or retirees.

Endowment Gifts are donated to an established Gibbons endowment fund or for the purpose of establishing a new fund.  The principal of each endowment fund is invested and only a specific percentage of the earned income is available for use on an annual basis.

Planned Gifts are a long-term method of supporting Cardinal Gibbons, in which a gift`s use is postponed until a specified future date.  An example of a planned gift is naming Cardinal Gibbons High School as a beneficiary in one`s will.  Other planned gifts include charitable remainder trusts, life insurance policies, or transfers of residence or personal property allowing the donor to retain a life estate.

Restricted Gifts are specified for particular use by the donor.  Restricted gifts may include scholarships, endowments, specific school programs, or special endeavors.

Unrestricted Gifts are donations made for general use by Cardinal Gibbons.  These Annual Fund gifts are vital since the school relies on them to meet operating costs each year.   

The Development office staff work with the school`s parent organization, the Cardinal Gibbons Family Association, in volunteer support and special events.  Each year, volunteers provide essential student program support, class events, hospitality, and special event fundraising.  Each fall, the CGFA organizes the Crusader Classic Golf Tournament and the Family Football Night. The CGFA holds its annual Gala fundraiser each spring.  These events build community spirit and raise funds on behalf of Cardinal Gibbons High School.
