Dear Cardinal Gibbons Families,

What does it mean to be a Cardinal Gibbons Parent? To many of us it means being a sports fan cheering on our awesome athletic teams. For others it means being a supporter of our drama department productions. For some it means participating in a prayer group which meets twice monthly to pray for the intentions of Cardinal Gibbons and its students. Whatever involves you as a CGHS parent makes you a partner in our school’s mission of forming men and women of Faith, Service and Leadership in Church and Community. To that end, we have chosen the theme of “Parents as Partners” for our 2010-2011 CGHS Family Association year.

If you are a returning parent – thank you for your support of our school! The Family Association cannot exist without your enthusiasm and dedication to our events and committees. If you are a new parent – we warmly welcome you to the Cardinal Gibbons family and encourage both moms and dads to volunteer. What a great way to meet new families and to stay informed about all things “Gibbons!” Be sure to complete your Online Volunteer Sign Up Form which will be available on the CGHS web site in early August. There you will find many ways in which to share your talents with the Family Association.

If you are ready to jump right in, our annual Golf Tournament, scheduled for September 27 at MacGregor Downs in Cary, is already in full “swing” with its planning and is ready to accept volunteers.
